چکیده

In recent years, there has been a surge of interest in the design, processing, and use core-sheath fibres, especially production wound healing bandages drug delivery. this research, novel pressurised gyration technique was utilised to create antibacterial fibre patches (tetracycline hydrochloride, TEHCL) using polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) polycaprolactone (PCL). Antibiotic showed uniform fibres with porous surface giving rise biphasic delivery system, which provided an initial burst 30–48% release first 24 h followed by constant rate throughout course 168 h, suitable for wound-dressings application. The effect operating parameters on morphology, influence structure loading as well mathematical modelling investigated analysed. Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry results demonstrated successful TEHCL encapsulation presence both polymers fibres. morphology studied electron microscopy verified confocal microscopy. Therefore, method offers exciting chance customise hybrid polymeric system. These advancements are crucial world healthcare meet demands where dressings cannot be produced rapidly or when personalised approach is necessary.

Forming of polymer nanofibers by a pressurised gyration process.

A new route consisting of simultaneous centrifugal spinning and solution blowing to form polymer nanofibers is reported. The fiber diameter (60-1000 nm) is shown to be a function of polymer concentration, rotational speed, and working pressure of the processing system. The fiber length is dependent on the rotational speed. The process can deliver 6 kg of fiber per hour and therefore offers mass...

Pharmacokinetics of tetracycline hydrochloride in fat-tailed sheep

Tetracycline may be used to treat several types of bacterial diseases in ruminants. In addition, tetracycline is added to food to promote the growth. There are few reports on the pharmacokinetics of tetracycline in sheep. Therefore, the objective of this study was to examine the pharmacokinetic characteristics of the drug in sheep. Ten apparently healthy mixed-breed sheep were administered 20 m...

Pharmacokinetics of tetracycline hydrochloride after single intravenous injection in dogs

Six mixed-breed apparently healthy dogs were intravenously administered a single dose of tetracycline hydrochloride (50 mg/kg) to evaluate the pharmacokinetic parameters of the drug. Blood samples were collected before and at various time intervals after the administration of the drug. Serum tetracycline concentrations were determined over a 24 h period using fluorescence spectrophotometry. Non...

Sustained Release of Minocycline Hydrochloride from Biomaterials

Minocycline Hydrochloride (MH) is a second-generation, semisynthetic tetracycline antibiotic derivative (Figure 1). It blocks the association of aminoacyl-tRNA with the bacterial ribosome and thus inhibits the bacterial protein synthesis. Independent of its antibacterial property, MH also exhibits potent anti-inflammatory effects, which makes it a promising drug candidate to combat implant-asso...

Crystalline silicon core fibres from aluminium core preforms.

Traditional fibre-optic drawing involves a thermally mediated geometric scaling where both the fibre materials and their relative positions are identical to those found in the fibre preform. To date, all thermally drawn fibres are limited to the preform composition and geometry. Here, we fabricate a metre-long crystalline silicon-core, silica-cladded fibre from a preform that does not contain a...
